Orange Farm

I spent Friday and Saturday night in Orange Farm and returned to Joburg Sunday evening. We left for Pilanesburg on Monday morning. It is now Wednesday afternoon and I am trying to catch up on blogging since I did not have internet in Orange Farm or Pilanesburg.

We packed so much in to my Orange Farm visit. We were at the school for a few hours and then stopped to see Sister Leah and baby Musa. It was so good to see them. Musa came running outside and gave me a big hug. We went inside and visited a few minutes then Sister Mazwi and I headed to the Nyama's.

We must have looked like quite the site. I was the only white woman on the streets and we were pulling a big silver suitcase down main street. Eventually we saw Pardon and Provie and Provie joined us and she helped pull my suitcase. Pardon continued on to Leah's house for seminary. When we got to the Nyama's Candice was there waiting for me. I forgot to mention that she was at the school when I arrived. So sweet of her to come. Sister Nyama was home by this time. We all visited and then played a few games while we waited for President to come home.

Friday night I offered to buy dinner so when President returned from work at 9 pm so 6 of us piled into a small car that President Nyama borrowed from a friend and we went to KFC. Saturday morning Pardon, Provie and I went for a walk to see if we could find Thabang and Nomsa, two young people from Orange Farm that I was anxious to see.  We went to their house two times, but no one was home. It was a nice walk. I was so impressed with the beautiful yards.
